The trial flight is actually your first lesson. It also counts towards the hours required for the issue of your Private Pilots licence. During this flight your instructor will demonstrate the basic function and effects of the aircraft controls, he will show you the local flying area and you will also be encouraged to take the controls of the aeroplane to feel the sensation of flying the aircraft yourself. This is a very relaxed flight and is intended to serve as an introduction to light aircraft flying and the nature of the flying course itself.

Many people carry on from the trial flight to complete a full Private Pilots flying course but this is not mandatory and many trial flights are simply bought as gifts at Christmas and Birthdays etc. It is with this in mind that we supply an attractive gift certificate which can be redeemed for a flight at a later date. On completion of the flight the recipient will be given a flight certificate, showing the type and registration of the aircraft flown and this will be signed by the instructor.
